Present continuous, leçon et exercice

- What are they doing? (Que sont-ils en train de faire?)
- They are playing football. (Ils jouent au football).

Principal emploi: action en cours au moment où l'on parle.

Syntaxe: Auxiliaire BE (conjugué au présent) + Verbe en -ing
Exemple:
I am playing football.
You are playing football.
He/She/It is playing football.
We are playing football.
You are playing football.
They are playing football.

Négation: I am not playing football, you are not playing football...

Question: Am I playing football? Are you playing football? Is he playing football? ...

Réponses:
Are they playing football?

Exercice: Complétez ces phrases avec le verbe entre parenthèses conjugué au présent en BE + -ING. Attention, les formes contractées ne sont pas acceptées.

1. They ............................ (study) at the moment.

2. She ...............................(watch) TV.
3. What ...............................(you/read) at the moment?
4. I ...............................(cook) dinner tonight. Would you like to come?
5. It ...............................(not/work). I think it's broken.

La forme négative et interrogative en anglais au présent

Forme affirmative : base verbale + « s » ou « es » avec He / She / It

I play tennis

You play basketball

She plays football

He plays golf

The dog plays in the garden

We play baseball

They play rugby

Forme négative : don't + base verbale ou doesn't + base verbale avec He / She / It

I don't play tennis

You don't play basketball

She doesn't play football

He doesn't play golf

The dog doesn't play in the garden

We don't play baseball

They don't play rugby

Forme interrogative : do + sujet + base verbale ou does + He / She / It + base verbale

Do I play tennis?

Do you play basketball?

Does she play football?

Does he play golf?

Does the dog play in the garden?

Do we play baseball?

Do they play rugby?

Avec les termisaisons en « s-sh-ch-x », le verbe se ternine en « es »

He misses

She washes the dishes

He watches TV

She mixes

Avec les terminaisons en “y” ET précédées d'une consonne, le “y” se transforme en “ies”

She cries MAIS She says

- What time do you wake up? A quellle heure tu te réveilles?
- I wake up at 9.
30 am (wake up = se réveiller)

Principaux emplois du present simple : vérités permanentes, actions répétitives/habituelles; sentiments

Syntaxe : Ajoutez un -S à la 3ème personne du singulier.

Si le verbe se termine par un -y précédé d'une consonne, le -y se change en -ies

Exemple (verbe : to wake up / se réveiller):
I wake up
You wake up
He/She/It wakeS up
We wake up
Y
ou wake up
They wake up
